as part of my new love affair with my oven, i strong-armed my sister to go along to this bake shop so that i could buy my stuff. to accessorise my new love of course. and there, behold! there were like, a gazillion cupcake cases in all shapes and sizes and colours!! but seriously! i was like so in love. macam nak beli aje every single thing there!
but of course not la kan. kang hot-hot chicken shit lak how kan?
and so here i was, at home, with some amat cute looking cupcake cases. there was nothing to do, except be martha stewart and bake cupcakes!! it didn't matter whether there was anyone to eat them or not, janji i was baking.
i set out to bake not one, but TWO types: a banana muffin recipe, and yogurt muffins (because i had yogurt that was going bad!). not bad for a first try, the banana muffin turned out lovely; lovely because i loved it, and most importantly Big A loved it! he loved it so much i decided to name it Adam's Favourite Muffins.
tapi kan, the yogurt muffin became BANTAT! it tasted nice enough according to my tastebud conscience the babes tapi... it was undeniably bantat! hahaha!!! oh well, next time.
but of course i sent some out to my favourite little babies. the muffins have to go somewhere and i love to feed them. failing which, yang betul2 failed experiments tu can bring to office kot... there's always a pack of young piranha boys to finish them off! hahaha
i really don't like to cook. no, really. but i like to bake, and i like healthy, and i like to play at cooking especially when the boys are involved and i like to try to give the best to my kids... you know, without conforming to the 'budak mesti makan nasik baru kenyang' dictum. UNFORTUNATELY, the boys are kinda picky with what they eat. so it's always a fun, continuous, play-adventure-experiment thing. and along the way, i'm so absolutely thrilled if my play helps other people and their culinary journey with their kids, too. here's to PLAYING AT COOKING!
