About my Blog

i really don't like to cook. no, really. but i like to bake, and i like healthy, and i like to play at cooking especially when the boys are involved and i like to try to give the best to my kids... you know, without conforming to the 'budak mesti makan nasik baru kenyang' dictum. UNFORTUNATELY, the boys are kinda picky with what they eat. so it's always a fun, continuous, play-adventure-experiment thing. and along the way, i'm so absolutely thrilled if my play helps other people and their culinary journey with their kids, too. here's to PLAYING AT COOKING!

Yogurt Pancakes

ok, here's my version of the highly successful yogurt pancakes.

what you need

1 egg, lightly beaten
1 standard pot flavoured yogurt (i used the nestle bliss strawberry)
150ml milk
150g self-raising flour
1/4 tsp salt

how you do it
  • mix together the egg and milk, then stir in the other stuff to make a batter
  • heat a little oil or margarine. drop a small ladle-full of batter and swirl it a bit to make it thinner/bigger. i guess this depends on how big you want it
  • cook until there are some bubbles, and the edges appear opaque then flip and cook the other side
i serve them with jam, although Little A likes it as it is. apparently you can freeze them although i've never tried it. to freeze, put some grease paper in between. you can reheat them in a toaster.

try la! nice...!
